The festive season is well and truly underway and we are less than a week away from the arrival of Santa! Christmas is typically a time, when we as Australians, also tend to over indulge in great food and wine and also rack up the credit card. This Pyrmont Village Christmas, why not consider ways in which you can have still have fun but minimise your footprint on the environment.

Here are some useful tips to help you with this. If you have some other ideas, please share them with us. After all sharing is caring icon smile 7 Tips to Enjoy a Sustainable Christmas in Pyrmont Village

1) Decorate a native tree or buy a potted Christmas tree and avoid your Christmas tree becoming landfill. Bring your tree to life by decorating it with your own handmade Christmas decorations or fairtrade Christmas decorations from Oxfam. And, if you are going to decorate your tree with fairy lights, opt for the more energy efficient, long lasting LED lights.

2) Give a Recycled, Reused or Vintage gift. There are many places to shop for these in and around Pyrmont.

3) Shop local and support the Pyrmont Village community. Find a unique gift, and save not only time but petrol costs and reduce your impact on the environment. Here is just a sample of what some of our local businesses have on offer for you.
