The students, selected from various TAFE Institutes and Universities, were chosen and nominated by their lecturers for this Award Exhibition as being the highest achievers in Ceramics at their Institutions.

This exhibition promises to be an exciting and stimulating presentation of new works and current trends in the Ceramic Arts field, extending from progressive traditional practices to contemporary sculptural and installation pieces.

The Inner City Clayworkers Gallery, around the corner from Pyrmont offers this opportunity to showcase Graduating Students, and the colleges they represent, as a means to promote newly emerging Ceramic artists to the wider community and to other galleries on the lookout for fresh new talent in the field of Ceramics.

Graduating student’s work will be for sale with the opportunity to become an ‘early adopter’ or collector of their works, as will current members of the Inner City Co ” Operative.

The Graduating Students Exhibition runs from Thursday, 22 January until Sunday, 15 February. The official opening is on Saturday, 24 January at 2pm.

Inner City Clayworkers Gallery invites members of the public with a penchant for Ceramics and local gallery owners to come and view works from these Award winning talented newcomers from around the State. So Pyrmont people, if you have some time to kill and would like to spot great work from some   young up and coming Australian artists, take a stroll on down to Clayworkers gallery, which would be roughly 15 mins from Union Square, in Pyrmont
