Pyrmont Drawing Classes: Drawing in the City at Night

Drawing in the City in October 2010 1 Pyrmont Drawing Classes: Drawing in the City at Night

Artist Enrique del Val and Anna Jaaniste will be running drawing classes starting Tuesday, 12 October 2010. The classes are held on Tuesdays from 7:00pm – 9:00 pm at different locations in and around Sydney – cafes, bars, parks, and other sites of interest around the centre of Sydney and the Inner West.

Enrique del Val is one of the most active and committed young artists in Sydney now and is regarded as a major figure in the Australian avant-garde pictorial scene for his collaborations in the “The Pink-footed Nymphs”, and Luci de Marco and Alessia Fanari, “Dee Dee Dee Dee Club”. He is well known for his paintings, drawings, etchings, lithographs and linocuts, boldly honest, intense and challenging, that elude any classification, and for his developed theories on Painting.

Anna Jaaniste is a practising artist, an experienced teacher and a flashing, telluric personality. She sees artmaking as an opportunity to connect with the world and experience new perspectives.

The cost for the 8 week course is $180/$140 concession. To enjoy the full benefits of these drawing sessions we strongly recommend enrolling in the full course. If for any reason this is not possible, casual attendance may be negotiated. A minimum of 8 enrolled students is required to run the course. Locations to be confirmed on interest request.

The course is open to everyone, of any background or level of experience. Every person with an interest in drawing is welcome.
