Pyrmont Event: LETS Trading Day

LETS Trading Day Pyrmont Event: LETS Trading Day

For Pyrmont residents looking to trade goods and services, the next Local Exchange Trading Scheme (LETS) Trading Day will be held on Sunday, 23 August 2009. Trading Days are held throughout the year – the event held this time last year was a whole lot of fun. What kind of things do people trade? Members trade meals, cakes, biscuits, cheese, juice, tea, jam, books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, flowers, herbs, fruit and veggies, knife sharpening, eyebrow shaping, worm wee, worm farms, massage, face-painting, haircuts, art, jewellery, ceramics, cards, soap, second hand goods and more.

The LETS Trading Day provides a great opportunity to meet in a central space to collect your already traded transactions, meet other members in the community, talk about other things you may not have listed that people are interested in, talk about issues or have a cup of tea or coffee.

Even if you are not a member you are most welcome to come along. Everyone is invited to Trading Day, but if you want to trade you’ll need to join. You can join on the day, but you may have to wait a while for someone to approve your account and give you your member number.

And what if it is raining? Trading takes place indoors at the Factory Community Centre, so wet weather is not a problem. Happy Trading!
