Pyrmont Event: Urban Compassion Art Exhibition

urban compassion art exhibition chalmersstreetbynight_bystevefloydFor Pyrmont Art Lovers and Humanitarians, the Urban Compassion Art Exhibition is a series of photos and paintings by our City’s homeless. With the theme “What does where you live mean to you?”, the exhibition depicts what being homeless means to Sydneysiders living on our streets.

The exhibition captures the reality they face on the streets,  issues that impact them, and their hopes for the future.

The paintings were created by participants of HopeStreet’s art program aimed at empowering people. HopeStreet’s  strong values of justice, compassion and hope are reflected in the artwork. The photos were the outcome of the City of Sydney “Through Your Eyes” project.
