Pyrmont Events: Chalk Urban Art Festival in Darling Harbour
Get down to Darling Harbour and enjoy the the 4th Chalk Urban Art Festival, where fashion and art blur and merge into one.
The pavement artists have 4 days to create their pieces of art on the forecourt of Tumbalong Park and the Chinese Gardens, just across from Pyrmont Village.
While you are there you can meet the artists, enjoy performances by great Sydney poets, see live art demonstrations, check out the graffiti exhibition, and listen to urban music ranging from jazz, blues, and gypsy to funk, hip hop and reggae. Plus shop at the 40 urban fashion stalls, enjoy the fashion parades and wearable art workshop, and make sure you check out the interactive Wearable Art fashion show on Sunday afternoon.
Make a donation and vote for your favourite artist – the People’s Choice Award winner will be the one who raises the most money for Youth Off The Streets. And to make the event sustainable, the PA system in the Urban Blog section will be solar powered.
