Pyrmont Art Festival: 2 May, 2009
Calling Pyrmont Art Lovers! Come along and see works of the very talented local artists at the 3rd annual Pyrmont Art Festival. With the theme “Small is Beautiful”, Sydneysiders submit their artwork on a 30cm x 30cm canvas. You may can even purchase one of these great pieces, while you enjoy the music and entertainment. Pyrmont Growers Market: 2 May, 2009
Before you head over to the Pyrmont Art Festival, pick up your fresh goodies for the week from the Good Living Growers Market in Pyrmont. You can select from organic and fresh food from over 85 stalls – from fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat and gluten free cakes to gorgeous flowers and delicious fresh bread. Meet with the growers and producers. While there, enjoy a fresh coffee and soak up the gorgeous views of Sydney Harbour.

Celebrate Darling Harbour’s 21st Birthday: 3 May, 2009
Get on down to Darling Harbour and join in their 21st birthday celebrations. The party will span across Tumbalong Park with a Multicultural Carnivale (11am-5pm), Kids Corner on Curtain Wall Lawn from lunchtime until 3pm including the photography competition workshop (12noon and 2:30pm). At 5:45pm there will be a Carnivale Parade travelling from Tumbalong Park to Cockle Bay. Enjoy the many great sounds of the Australian Army Band in the Harbourside Ampitheatre (12noon-2pm) and World Music with Marsala, Sonora Galaxia and Panjea at the Aquashell in Cockle Bay from 2pm till 5pm. The night will conclude with a Gala Concert in the Aquashell starting at 6:10pm and featuring 2008 Australian Idol Winner, Wes Carr and the drumming group Taikoz before a spectacular fireworks display at 7:20pm.
