Pyrmont Events: “Seasick” Conversation at Gleebooks

seasick Pyrmont Events: Seasick Conversation at GleebooksJoin Dr Richard Smith, previously a marine biologist and now a documentary producer for the ABC, in a conversation about “Seasick: the Hidden Ecological Crisis of the Global Ocean”. This event is being held just a short stroll from Pyrmont at Gleebooks in Glebe.

“Seasick” will change the way you understand the ocean and its importance to all life on earth. On a global scale, oceans contain 90% of the mass of life on Earth and cover 71% of it’s surface.

In this book author Alanna Mitchell, an internationally acclaimed and awarded author and newspaper journalist, reveals the gradual deterioration of ocean life that has been occurring in secret, and its implications for our future life on this planet. While a great deal of money and attention has been invested in saving land animals and plants, there is a growing crisis beneath the ocean. This is the first book to bring together the scattered pieces of this scientific puzzle into one comprehensive story.
