So it is school holidays and you are probably wondering how you can keep the kids entertained. Well, head over to Carriageworks in Eveleigh, just near Pyrmont Village, for the inaugural Sydney Children’s Festival. Designed for kids aged between 5 to 15 years of age and their families, this event offers loads of workshops, performances, exhibitions, free activities and  experiences for every child. The aim of the Festival is to inspire creativity and imagination and encourage community participation, while nurturing a love of the arts amongst our younger generation.

Join in the fun and create a mural of the natural environment, be a reporter on your own TV channel, learn  shadow puppeteering and how to improvise in public spaces, make a mask or a paper flower wand, create a wire dinosaur and artwork from natural objects, or learn contemporary dance, indigenous dance and hip hop.
