Celebrate World Fair Trade Day in Glebe: 9 May
The Fair Trade Coffee Company (also known as the Fair Trade Cafe) in Glebe is holding a “Justice Never Tasted So Good!” to celebrate World Fair Trade Day (WFTD). In line with the BIG BANG!! theme for WFTD – beat poverty, beat climate change, beat economic crisis – the afternoon will kick off with the beating of the drums by¬† one of the most colourful and best Drums and Dance group in Sydney. Go along and enjoy a Fair Trade coffee or tea while soaking up the performance of the talented and beautiful drummers and dancers.

Vanity Fair Vintage Markets: 9 May
If you love vintage clothing and accessories then this is the place to shop. Here you will find items from the ‘Swinging Sixties’ as well as the Fifties and Forties – in fact anything to do with vintage, retro and antique fashion. From dresses, bags, hats, shoes and jewellery to nylon stockings, materials, fashion art, home decor and old patterns, there are beautiful and unique items to choose from. You can even buy clothing and accessories for that special man in your life.

Message Sticks Indigenous Film Festival: 7 – 10 May
The 10th Anniversary of the Message Sticks Indigenous Film Festival includes feature films, short films and documentaries by emerging and established Indigenous Australian film makers. Get along to the Sydney Opera House and enjoy these wonderful films and performances that showcase the creativity of indigenous artists from Australia as well as globally.The program includes 7 world premieres of 7 short films by 7 new Australian directors. And the great thing is that you can meet and speak with the film makers. The public screenings, live music and photographic exhibition are free.
