Held every Saturday from 8:00am – 1:00pm, the Eveleigh Farmers’ Market has over 80 stallholders offering biodynamic and organic foods direct from farmers and artisan food producers in NSW. Their core values include authenticity of supply, sustainability through activities such as recycling and waste reduction, ensuring local origin of produce and support of fair trade. You can buy deliciously fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, meats, cakes, pastries, biscuits, pasta and cheeses, while at the same time supporting local farmers. While there also enjoy practical demonstrations, share a “long-table” meal and meet the farmers.

Celebrate Neighbour Day – Sunday, 29 March 2009

Founded in 2003 following the tragic discovery of an elderly lady who was found in her home 2 years after her death, Neighbour Day is now endorsed by every Premier as well as the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. To celebrate the day, why not get together with your neighbours and enjoy a BBQ and drinks or a cake and coffee. This is an excellent opportunity to say thanks to a wonderful neighbour, or if you don’t know your neighbours, a great opportunity to meet them.

Have a fabulous and fun weekend! It would be great to hear some of your stories and see your photos. Send them to
