There are an incredible 58 restaurants in Pyrmont offering a wide variety of tasty cuisines. And to recognise and celebrate the excellence and culinary diversity of the cafes, hotels and bars in Pyrmont Village, the prestigious “Taste Of Pyrmont” competition will be held for the second year running.

During the month of August, customers rate their dining experience across several criteria. The winning restaurant is the one that receives the highest percentage of votes, based on a weighted index. The voting system is designed to give all eating establishments an even chance, regardless of their style of food/wine. And by voting you will be entered into the draw to win a luxury weekend for two at the Hyatt Coolum Resort and runner-up prizes of a hamper and a $400 voucher at the winning restaurant.

The number of participants has grown and in 2008 include: 3 Dots, 42 Harris St Cellars, Astral, Blue Eye Dragon, Cafe Bar Zini, Cafe Morso, Cafe XX11, Cool Beans Espresso Bar, Cooperage Cafe, Flying Fish, Francois Patisserie, Harrogate Teas Coffee & Fine Food, H20 Cafe Pyrmont, Lemongrass Takrai, Libiamo, Black Pepper Tapas, Nicholas Seafoods, Om Thai, Pen, Pizza Man Pyrmont, Porters Wine, Pyrama, Red Mint, Star Wokstation Pyrmont, Sugaroom, Thai Food 4 You, The Point Hotel, Two Fratelli Cafe, Viva Goa, Vrindavan Indian, and Xcell Coffees.

So come on Pyrmont Village foodies, dine at these great venues and cast your vote!
